It's been a long weekend, and it's going to be an even longer week. As I mentioned a few posts ago, my granddaddy died on Saturday. Visitation was Sunday afternoon, and the funeral was yesterday. If you haven't guessed by the pretty much complete silence this week, real life's been slightly insane lately. There's a virus going around at work, so I've had to work some insane hours because I'm one of the lucky ones who isn't sick. Yet. They let my grandfather come home today, but everyone's supposed to keep an extremely close eye on him. I don't think that the doctors are 100% sure about what caused the bleeding in the first place. :-/

For those of you who were wondering, my grandfather is in intensive care right now. They were keeping him overnight, and we aren't going to know anything else until in the morning. The doctors think that they stopped the bleeding during surgery, but -- because of all the blood -- they weren't 100% certain. And they're still not entirely certain ( Read more... )

I'm not sure if I'll be around much the next few days.

My (paternal) grandfather, the one who had the stroke back in December, had to be taken to the hospital this morning because of internal hemorrhaging due to the medication he's been taking. He had to have emergency surgery, and we haven't heard how he's doing yet.

My grandfather's had a major stroke, and he's been transported to the hospital in Nashville.
